  • A look at prison ministry with Deacon John Leininger. There was a recent piece written about this ministry which you can read here. As mentioned in the article, “Deacon Leininger first began his work in prison ministry at a county jail more than 10 years ago. He worked there for six years, but the inmates there had sentences of no longer than a year, and he wanted a ministry where he could develop stronger relationships over time. During the last couple of years, he has become more serious about prison ministry, retiring from his teaching job at Clemson University and entering the diaconate. Now, he leads the prison ministry for Perry, managing the schedules for priests and volunteers, and coordinating activities.”
  • The BSA, or Boy Scouts of America, could be going bankrupt. They have been sued for negligence in handling past child abuse cases, and they may have to fold. Listen to one man’s story; he was abused as a kid by his BSA leader. He says that he does not want them to declare bankruptcy, but is suing them because he wants justice done.
