Airline Industry being blown out by virus

  • Hour 3 of 3-26-20
  • Drew awaits the president’s press conference this hour. First, he takes a look at the airline industry suffering because of the pandemic. The virus has reduced air travel from 60-100 percent throughout the world. In the US, a flight cross country from LA to NY only had 6 passengers on it! So now the government has looked at bailing the airline industry out. Matt Dunbar gives his thoughts. He says that he doesn’t think domestic flights will be completely shut down though.
  • Drew looks at your civil rights in this time. With the government shutdown and stay at home orders in place, could you actually get arrested for not abiding by these policies? Some like Gov. Northam in VA have hinted at this. Cong. Bob Barr looks at the constitution and states that some of these orders are going far beyond what is sensible. He finds some of them troubling and says we as Americans really need to reflect on what is happening.
  • The president gives an update on the COVID-19 crisis. He is joined by VP Mike Pence, Dr. Deborah Birx, the response coordinator, and Dr. Anthony Fauci. They address medical supplies, current cases and mortality rates, and when to get the economy back on its feet again.
