A police perspective on what is happening

  • Hear some of the memorial service for George Floyd in Minnesota. Attorney Ben Krump spoke at the funeral service – listen to part of what he said about demanding justice. Brothers and extended family of George also share their memories and reflections of who George was as a person.
  • What is it like to be a police officer in the middle of all of this? As violence against law enforcement has increased, imagine what you would feel if you had to go up against these riots. Sgt. Charlie Anderson shares his perspective and is asked if he believes some communities are over policed. He speaks to a black man who says he is afraid of being mistreated by some police. He also says that we need to see the balance in all of this. There are many good cops making a difference, and they are trying to make the police department better. Some cops are bad, and they need to be corrected.
