Relevant Radio® listeners often write in to tell us the ways that listening has inspired them. Some have been inspired to return to the Church, or enter the Catholic Church for the first time. Others have shared of relationships healed, marriages strengthened, and how much they have learned about their faith just by listening to Relevant Radio.
A listener recently wrote in to share how listening to The Patrick Madrid Show on Relevant Radio has even influenced her 12-year-old son’s future aspirations. She explained that at her son’s homeschooling group held a LEGO competition, where the children were tasked with building a LEGO creation based on a particular theme. This year’s theme was, “In the future, I would like…”
Her 12-year-old wrote, “When I grow up I want to be an apologist like Patrick Madrid or be part of Relevant Radio. I like how Patrick stays calm even when people are being rude. I think being an apologist would be a great way to fulfill my obligation of trying to convert people.”
His entry for the competition included the Relevant Radio studios, complete with Patrick Madrid and Cyrus Simcoe LEGO figures. He even included a separate LEGO house with a listener calling-in to The Patrick Madrid Show!
While his mother did tell him that it is the job of the Holy Spirit to convert people – that our obligation is to share the Gospel and evangelize – it is clear that being a Relevant Radio listener has inspired this young man to do great things for the Lord! We are so grateful for all the wonderful parents who make Relevant Radio a part of their day and a part of their children’s lives. It is an honor to be able to help future generations grow in their knowledge and love of Christ and His Church.
And in case you were wondering how you can tell it is Patrick Madrid in the studio, the boy made it clear with the signature mustache! Now our only question is, where are the tacos?
