Bishop James Golka on Being Happy, Hope-filled Catholics

Bishop James Golka of Colorado Springs stopped by our video booth to tell us a little bit about what he has seen in his short time at the Congress. He joined Archbishop Aquila of Denver for Mass and then a Eucharistic procession, and he said that those who saw him in the procession felt like he had brought the whole diocese with him.

“It is super humbling and honoring to be able to do that with your people. During our procession, Archbishop Aquila wanted to stop and bless all of the public buildings that we had, places where decisions are made that affect our future. And we just felt the Lord wanting to bless that entire part of our society because we need it desperately. We know deep down that something’s not right, and He’s the only one who can set it right.”
