Fr. Patrick Bergin: Wildlife Conservationist turned Priest of Tanzania

Many African priests get ordained and are then assigned to places of need within the United States. Fr. Patrick Bergin is the opposite: He is an American priest who was assigned to the diocese of Tabora, Tanzania.

After college, he traveled to Africa and became a wildlife conservationist. By his own admission, he ignored his vocational calling for awhile because he had such a great job that he loved. But God came calling, and Fr. Patrick finally answered.
