France No Longer Has a Culture (Trending with Timmerie)

Timmerie was super pumped on Friday. With a weekend ahead, she was all set to cozy up on the couch and watch the Olympic opening ceremony live. It’s been ages since she could watch the whole thing in one go, and boy, was she excited! Instead, she was treated to something really different. Here’s the commentary, which some listeners may not find suitable for their children:

🎭 The Cloaked Confusion: So, the ceremony kicks off, and immediately, it’s like, “What is happening?” There’s this hooded figure in a fencing mask – talk about creepy! Where’s the tradition? The honor? The torchbearer is supposed to symbolize peace and unity, right? Instead, it felt like a scene straight out of a Batman movie.

🎶 Hollywood Overload: Then, NBC decides it’s a good idea to focus more on Hollywood stars like Elon Musk and Tom Cruise rather than the athletes who have worked so hard to get there. Even Lady Gaga’s performance felt off, filled with CGI and pre-recorded content, which just killed the live event feel.

📚 Bizarre Themes and Inappropriate Content: The ceremony’s themes were puzzling and not family friendly.  Imagine kids watching this at 8:30 PM! It felt so out of place for such a historic and international event.

⛪️ Mockery of the Sacred: One of the most offensive parts was the mockery of the Last Supper with trans activists and drag performers. In a country with such a rich Catholic heritage, this was deeply disrespectful. Adding to the oddity, there was a massive power outage in Paris afterward, with only the Sacré Cœur Cathedral illuminated – almost like a sign.

🎨 Lost French Culture: Timmerie was saddened by the lack of authentic French culture, art, and athleticism. Instead, viewers got mediocre dance performances. She believes that a fashion show would have been a better representation of French elegance.

🙏 Call for Reparation: In response to this blatant blasphemy in the opening ceremony, U.S. bishops called for reparation. Bishop Andrew Cousins urged the faithful to attend daily Mass or make a holy hour to atone for these offenses.
