When Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, He made promises to those who would honor His Sacred Heart. Later, after St. Margaret Mary’s death, her spiritual director (Fr. John Croiset, S.J.) compiled the 12 Promises of the Sacred Heart from her writing. Among them, Jesus promises peace in your home, grace for your life, comfort in trials, blessings in your work, and more!

As Pope Francis emphasizes in Dilexit Nos, when we adore the Sacred Heart we adore the whole Person of Jesus Christ Himself. (Dilexit Nos 48) We do not worship a representation of a heart apart from the person, but the Living Heart of Jesus which burns with love for us.

The Sacred Heart is Jesus’ Living Heart – and a reminder that He wants to take care of us and our families in our daily lives, today!

The best part? You can receive these 12 promises by doing one simple request: Jesus asks you to display His Sacred Heart in your home and honor it. Jesus says,

“I will bless every place in which an image of my Heart is exposed and honored.”

That’s it! Put up a painting or print a picture and pray to Him when you walk by. Talk to Him like He’s family… because He is! You’ll be surprised at Jesus’ generosity.
