👉 Fr. Rocky is broadcasting from Washington Island, where it’s sunny, breezy, and apparently overrun by fishing boats thanks to a tournament in Lake Michigan. He’s clearly living his best summer life—jumping in the water, celebrating Mass, soaking up the sunshine. Maggie is co-hosting, bringing her usual warmth and smiles.
👉 Prayer intentions roll in
Nine-year-old Catherine from Illinois calls in to pray for help and for St. Michael’s protection.
👉 And then… the comedy gold.
Father Rocky shares an “unusual” prayer request someone sent in; they are asking for the extinction of two species, Tabanus striatus and Drosophila melanogaster. Any guesses? They’re flies. Specifically: a horsefly and a housefly.
😂 As Father Rocky is reading this, a fly LITERALLY starts buzzing around Maggie.
Maggie’s laughing, Father Rocky’s swatting, and we’re all imagining St. Michael getting ready with his heavenly flyswatter.
Father Rocky jokes, “The dinosaurs went extinct… maybe the flies’ time is up too?” 🦖✝️🐝
Next time a fly buzzes in your face during prayer, just start praying… heaven has got it covered. 😄
