Concerned About Your Parish’s Future? Relevant Radio Has Answers!

A letter from a Relevant Radio listener and regular adorer, Milka Stanojevich, recently published in her parish bulletin, St. Elizabeth of the Trinity:

I have been a parishioner at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity/St. Tarcissus, for over ten years. I am a member of the Linen Group, which launders the altar linens, and am also a member of the Women’s Group. In addition, I have been the Ambassador for Relevant Radio for our parish, as well as St. Hyacinth Basilica, for about seven years.

I remember when we were told that St. Cornelius, St. Thecla, and St. Tarcissus would be merging. I empathized with all the people who were upset about how this merger would be an inconvenience, and how they would have to leave all their memories behind.

My main concern was more far-fetching. If the Archdiocese was closing churches due to lack of attendance, and a decrease in financial support, how long would it take for St. Elizabeth to end up being closed as well?

As St. Paul’s writings suggest, if Jesus truly resurrected, then our churches should be filled to over-flowing. If He did not resurrect, then our faith is in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:14) So, which is it? All of us are challenged to answer this question. Personally, I believe the Risen Lord lives in His Church and in me.

If we do not live our faith each day, attend Mass regularly, and teach our children to do so, how can future generations be expected to keep our churches open and thriving? We believe that we truly receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, that is not just a symbol.

Relevant Radio provides education, entertainment, and evangelization. When I began listening to it I discovered how much more I had to learn. I am a believer in what Father Rocky, the CEO of Relevant Radio, likes to say, “When you learn your faith, you will live your faith, when you live your faith, you will love your faith, and when you love your faith, you will never leave your faith.”

We can experience the truth and beauty of our Catholic faith, so that others can see Jesus in all we are, and do, that will encourage them to do the same. Attendance at Mass will increase and we won’t need to worry about another church closing.

What would help you to feel closer to Jesus, and therefore, the Church? Is there anything you would like to know about Relevant Radio? I would be happy to answer any and all questions.

Relevant Radio can be found on 950AM radio [in Chicago], on the internet, on Facebook, on an app for smartphones, and streaming on Relevant Radio Plus. There are materials for you in the church vestibule.

They offer a daily Mass at noon, a three o’clock Divine Mercy Chaplet with live prayer requests, and the Family Rosary Across America every night at seven o’clock with live prayer requests. There are thousands of people praying for each other, and that can include you as well! Relevant Radio will enrich every aspect of your life.

My goal is to bring more souls to Jesus through evangelization via Relevant Radio. The biggest prayer request we receive is to bring loved ones back to the Church. Let’s make sure the church will be there!
