On Family Rosary Across America, Kathy from Savage, Minnesota, called back with joy in her voice. “I woke up this morning and my left eye opened up wider than it has since surgery and my vision is so much better,” she told Fr. Rocky. “I’m sitting under my Relevant Radio blanket praying the rosary with you for praise and thanksgiving to our Lord for the healing and I’m just so thankful.”
Fr. Rocky shared that he had even mentioned her intention in his homily at Mass that morning, which Kathy recalled was “about the two blind people.” She remembered him telling the congregation, “We had Kathy from Minnesota call in last night and her eye is really bad and we’re going to pray for a miracle.” A lot of people prayed, he said, and now could only rejoice: “Thank you, Jesus. Praise God.”
Later during the rosary, Joe from Menasha, Wisconsin, called with his own thanksgiving. “I am overly ecstatic and calling in for a prayer of thanksgiving,” he began. Within the last hour, he had learned that he is going to be a grandfather for the first time, just months after his son’s wedding. On top of that, “last week I became a godfather,” he added, marveling that in the same week he became both godfather and grandfather.
Shaking as he spoke, Joe asked for prayers “for all little ones and expecting mothers out there.” Together with Kathy’s healing, his joy shows what happens when listeners bring their needs to Jesus—and remember to come back and say thank you.
