Eucharist in the Early Church – The inner Life – April 9, 2026

Father Bobby Blood joins Patrick to discussthe Eucharist in the Early Church

  • What is the Eucharist?
  • (4:46) How does the Eucharist set the Catholic Church apart?
  • (10:54) What was meant by breaking of the bread?
  • Rad to Emmaus explained.
  • (17:21) Robert -Thing that brought me back with the Eucharist…Jesus himself with the teaching of 5000…unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood… you will have no life…
  • God is saying I am telling you to eat my flesh and drink my blood…very eye opening.

(21:51) Break 1

  • What does Paul mean in 1 Corinthians 11:29?
  • (28:07) How Paul turns us to Christ

(39:12) Break 2

  • (40:33) Steve – Eucharist and how it’s received today. Why there might be a lot of skepticism to the true presence is because of diminished reverence by the way it’s received. Doing away with communion rails, extraordinary ministers, receiving in hand, etc.
  • (43:47) Email from Miguel about taking the Eucharist if you don’t fully understand that it’s Jesus?
