Relevant Radio is at the service of the local ordinary (bishop, archbishop or cardinal) to assist him wherever possible in this service to his flock. A bishop is the visible presence of Christ in the community of believers (CCC 1549) who has been given the fullness of the sacrament of Holy Orders (CCC 1557) and, thus, he is the shepherd whose duty it is to serve his people (CCC 1551).

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) offers many faith resources on their website: http://www.usccb.org/. The USCCB is an organization of all the bishops of the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands who gather together to better serve the faithful of this country. They exercise certain pastoral functions under the universal law of the Church with the goal of bringing the Gospel message and its benefits to all of mankind.

Bishops, as successors of the apostles, receive from the Lord, to whom was given all power in heaven and on earth, the mission to teach all nations and to preach the Gospel to every creature, so that all men may attain to salvation by faith, Baptism and the fulfillment of the commandments." (Lumen gentium, 24).
