Relevant Radio® is blessed with so many amazing volunteers, and this month we want to introduce you to Shandi Burke, our October 2019 Volunteer of the Month!

Shandi is a Parish Ambassador at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Bushnell, Florida. And while she is new to volunteering as an Ambassador, her energy and enthusiasm is inspiring!

Shandi told us how she first started listening to Relevant Radio, saying, “I’m kind of a Catholic nerd, so to speak, because I love everything about our faith. I can never get enough of it. So I’m always delving into new avenues of information. So I did some research for a Catholic Radio station and found Relevant Radio.”

“I listen to the station via my app since it is hard to hear the station on the radio. I have actually called in and spoken with a couple of hosts during their shows. I love the programs and the prayers.”

Shandi shared how easy the process was for her to become a Parish Ambassador, and how excited she is to share Relevant Radio with her fellow parishioners. She said, “I decided to become a Parish Ambassador because I saw the information about it. I’m always ready to help where I can, so I asked Fr. V and he said OK! And here I am. I was shocked to see how few in the parish had heard of the station, but that confirmed to me that I had followed the Holy Spirits leading. I pray that it is a blessing to our parish.”
