Relevant Radio® is blessed with so many amazing volunteers, and this month we want to introduce you to Deacon Joe Verdico, our March 2020 Volunteer of the Month!

Deacon Joe is a Parish Ambassador for Ss. Peter & Paul Parish in Naperville, IL, and before he was a Parish Ambassador he was an avid Relevant Radio listener!

“My experience with Relevant Radio began from the very beginning,” he said. “I can recall listening to the very first Morning Air® with Jeff Cavins as host. I have been an avid listener ever since. The programming on Relevant Radio has been a significant influence in learning more about my Catholic faith, particularly during my formation as a deacon.”

As a Parish Ambassador, Deacon Joe doesn’t just encourage his fellow parishioners to listen to Relevant Radio, he encourages them to volunteer right alongside him!

“[I] reached out to the two parishioners who had expressed an interest and asked them to join me in spreading the word and educating our parish about Relevant Radio,” he said. “We now have a “mini parish team” with three parishioners and me promoting Relevant Radio in the parish at various events. We also keep materials available in our Church and Ministry Center for our parishioners and other parish ministries to get the word out about Relevant Radio.”

“We constantly promote downloading and using the app,” Deacon Joe pointed out. “The app is a large part of my daily prayers and liturgy of the hours. It is a blessing for all of us to share the ‘good news’ of Relevant Radio!
