Priests are not the only ones called to be disciples. Consecrated religious are not the only ones called to pray for the world and the culture. Each and every Catholic is called to do apostolate to their friends, family members, coworkers, and even strangers.
As Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers relayed to the Congress, the world is craving flesh and blood through entertainment, but they’re looking in make-believe spaces. They don’t realize that the real flesh and blood that grants eternal life is in the monstrance, on the altar, dispensed at Holy Mass.
Burke-Sivers explained that throughout our lives, we will be presented with opportunities to sow seeds of faith. And while we are called to lead with love, we should never water down the truth of the Catholic faith.
