Jonathan Roumie: The Bread of Life Discourse and Filming the Last Supper

Jonathan Roumie made an appearance at The National Eucharistic Congress to give an address on the evening of Saturday, July 20th.

In his speech, Jonathan spoke about God’s timing, facing the devil and anxiety when portraying Jesus, and he also gave us a sneak peek of how he would’ve acted out the Bread of Life Discourse in The Chosen, would he have been allowed to do so.

“Funny enough, I was filming. What’s even funnier is God’s timing on everything. As I said, it was probably almost a year ago that I committed to being here. I knew it might be a little dicey with my filming schedule, but I thought, ‘God knows what He’s doing.’ But what I didn’t know is that He would put me here the day after I spent a week filming the Last Supper.”
