“Once a Catholic, Always a Catholic” (Family Rosary Across America)

🌟 Welcome back to another heartwarming session of Family Rosary Across America! Tonight, Fr. Rocky is leading us from Texas, and he’s joined by Maggie in Chicago.

The first prayer intention is from Mary Therese, a young girl from Wisconsin. She asks for prayers for her friends and family who have drifted away from the Catholic faith. She also mentions a Catholic friend whose family has stopped attending Mass.

Father shares a story to encourage her. He recently played a round of golf with a self-proclaimed non-practicing Catholic who also identified as agnostic. By the end of their game, through meaningful conversations and lighthearted banter, Fr. Rocky had him reconsidering his stance, joking that he was “pretty much 81% there” in believing again. It’s a beautiful reminder of how powerful gentle persuasion and prayer can be. Never forget, just as Fr. Rocky and Maggie say: “Once a Catholic, always a Catholic.” Don’t ever stop praying for that loved one who might have left the Church.

Next, 11-year-old Logan from Winter Springs, Florida, calls in with a double dose of sweetness. He congratulates Maggie on her new baby and then shares a touching prayer for his Aunt Mary, who’s in hospice.

Then, Moline from North Carolina joins in with a fun story. She was looking for Father Rocky at the National Eucharistic Congress in Indiana but couldn’t find him! She has a special request for her grandson Joshua’s 8th birthday. Without missing a beat, Father belts out a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday,” sure to bring a big smile to Joshua’s face.
