On this episode of The Patrick Madrid Show, Patrick took a powerful call from Frank in Pasadena. Frank, the Grand Knight of his local Knights of Columbus council, called in to share how the wildfires tearing through Southern California have left his community in shambles. 😢
📞 Frank’s Story: Raw and Real:
At least six of his fellow Knights have lost their homes. Completely. Burned to the ground. Many others have been forced to evacuate with just the clothes on their backs.
One Knight’s house caught fire within an hour from a single ember. No warning. Just enough time to grab his wife and escape.
Frank described the hotel where evacuees were staying: packed. Families. Kids. Pets. People in line, out the door, just trying to find a safe place to stay. 💔
🏫 A Small Miracle Amid the Ashes: By God’s grace, a nearby church and school were somehow spared while entire neighborhoods around them were reduced to dust. But Frank made it clear: the damage is massive, and beloved local businesses are just…gone.
🤝 What’s Happening Now:
The Knights of Columbus are on it: working to get emergency funds and help families with shelter and food.
It’s still chaotic, and long-term plans are just beginning to take shape. This is going to be a long road for these families.
🙏 Patrick’s Response Was All Heart:
