Do you ever wonder: “Could Jesus really still love me? Even after everything?”
Maybe you carry around old shame like a backpack full of bricks. Maybe you fear that Jesus sees only your mistakes when He looks at you.
But here’s the beautiful truth: Jesus doesn’t keep score.
He looks at you with eyes full of infinite mercy, and He made sure you would know that by appearing to a humble young woman named St. Faustina.
St. Faustina: A Simple Girl, A Massive Mission
From the time she was a little girl, Faustina had a tender closeness with God.
But everything changed at 18, when she had a vision of the suffering Christ, pleading with her to give Him her whole life.
She said yes.
Through her time with the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, her relationship with Jesus only deepened. She began having extraordinary experiences: visions of Jesus, the Virgin Mary, even glimpses of heaven, hell, and purgatory.
Under obedience to her spiritual director, she wrote down everything: no edits, no fancy polishing… in what became the Diary of St. Faustina, Divine Mercy in My Soul.
Imagine: A woman with barely any education giving the world one of the greatest mystical treasures the Church has ever seen.
🎨The Divine Mercy Image: A Gift Born of Struggle
Maybe you’ve seen that famous painting of Jesus with the red and white rays flowing from His heart.
That image started with a vision in Faustina’s convent cell. Jesus Himself appeared and asked her to have it painted, with the words:
👉 “Jesus, I trust in You.”
Sounds simple, right?
It wasn’t. 😬
Poor St. Faustina wasn’t an artist, and finding someone to capture what she saw was heart-wrenchingly difficult.
Even after countless tries with painter Eugeniusz Kazimirowski, the image never quite matched the beauty she had witnessed.
She cried.
She begged.
She wanted it to be perfect for Jesus.
And what did He say?
He gently reminded her (and all of us) … that it’s not about artistic perfection.
It’s about the grace He pours through it.
A Personal Invitation.
You’re not too broken.
You’re not too far gone.
You are exactly the kind of soul Jesus is reaching out to, right now.
Go to Confession.
Gaze at His image.
🙏 Whisper, “Jesus, I trust in You,” even if your voice shakes.
Jesus promises to pour out oceans of grace into your heart if you just trust.
Not because you earned it.
But because He loves you more than you could ever imagine.
