Sometimes life feels impossible.
We might be sick, stressed, have financial issues, children aren’t sleeping, work problems – you name it. Sometimes we can feel as if we might break under all the pressure. What’s the answer? To try harder?
Here’s the truth: you probably can’t handle it all yourself. In fact, if you’re a fallen human being like me, I know you can’t.
We all need God’s grace – every single day. Without His grace, each of us will fall short in our vocation! The good news? Jesus promises to be with you in the midst of your suffering.
The first promise of the Sacred Heart of Jesus confirms this: “I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.”
That means that Jesus will give you the graces you need, whatever your vocation may be. Whether you’re a parent, a student, a caretaker, or a priest, Jesus promises to provide.
Just look at St. Margaret Mary! She suffered a 4-year illness and couldn’t leave her bed for 2 years. If St. Margaret Mary can face that cross, we can certainly face our own crosses!
Jesus never abandons us in life’s struggles. We just need to ask for His grace.
Try this today: when you are in a difficult moment, pause and say a very simple prayer: “Jesus, help me!” Ask for His grace! For those who honor His Sacred Heart, He promises to provide all the graces you need.
