Have you ever had a priest come and bless your home?

Can you imagine Jesus Himself blessing your home?

You don’t have to imagine it, because Jesus promised to do it! In the Eighth Promise, Jesus gave St. Margaret Mary a very clear promise about homes that honor His Sacred Heart:

“I will bless those places wherein the image of my Sacred Heart shall be exposed and honored.”

If you want your home to be filled with peace, just display and honor an image of the Sacred Heart. It can be in your entryway, in the living room, even on the fridge on a magnet!

Wherever it is, honor it every day with a small prayer and Jesus promises to bless your home. It’s that simple.

That’s what St. Margaret Mary did after Jesus revealed this promise to her. She made sure the Sacred Heart was visible and honored in the Visitation Sisters’ chapel. The nuns prayed together in front of the image. They offered their daily struggles to Him.

You’re not just decorating when you display an image of the Sacred Heart. You’re inviting Jesus to be Lord of your household. You’re declaring that your household belongs to Him!

And why stop at your house? St. Margaret Mary didn’t! She had her own image by her bedside in addition to the community’s image in the chapel. So put a Sacred Heart holy card in your own room, in your car, or even on your desk at work. Invite Jesus into every space you live in, and He will bless it.
