Rosary Novena Day 32: What Does Jesus Want From Me?

If Jesus showed you His Heart, how would you respond?

In 1674, about a year after her first vision, St. Margaret Mary Alacoque was kneeling in front of the Blessed Sacrament when Jesus appeared again.

This second apparition was vivid and unforgettable. She saw His Sacred Heart on a crystal-clear throne of flames, surrounded by a crown of thorns, signifying the sins of humanity, and a cross rising above it, showing His victory over sin. It was then Jesus made the ninth promise we talked about earlier:

“I will bless every place where a picture of my Sacred Heart shall be exposed and honoured.”

That’s the moment Jesus entrusted His Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary, and through her, to the world. It was this second vision in 1674 that created the image of the Sacred Heart we know today.

Having seen it, St. Margaret Mary now had to share it with others. But how could she? Who would believe her? Though many were skeptical of the visions at first, St. Margaret Mary persevered, trusting in God. Because of her, our families have the chance to hang Sacred Heart images in our homes and experience the peace and blessings Jesus promised.

And today, he’s asking the same thing of you! If you haven’t already, display the image of His Sacred Heart in a central place in your home! Take a moment each day to pause in front of it, even just to say, “Jesus, I trust in You with the day ahead. Protect me and guide my heart.”

Why should you do this? Because Jesus keeps His promises!
