The eruption of the Kilauea volcano on Hawaii’s big island this week has forced thousands to evacuate their homes and caused devastating damage to the area. In addition to the flowing lava, authorities are concerned about environmental hazards such as toxic gas that pose a risk to those living on the island.

Bishop Larry Silva, bishop of the Diocese of Hawaii, stopped by Morning Air® to give an update on how the local church is responding to this disaster, as well as offer prayers for all those affected.
