Today is May 29 and Pentecost is two days away.

By now you’ve probably noticed a discrete image of Our Lady of Guadalupe on almost everything related to Relevant Radio:  on our App, on our Website, on our Marketing materials.  The reason for that is because Relevant Radio received its first license from the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, DC on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, December 12, 2000, and without that license we would not be in business. So we never want to forget that foundational moment, that historic moment, and the intercession of Our Lady in our own history.  That’s the reason for the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Relevant Radio has never moved forward without the powerful intercession of the Blessed Mother.  When our financial situation was hopeless in 2006, we started praying the Memorare at the beginning of each hour of Pledge Drive.  Ever since that time, Relevant Radio has been on the air, and we are grateful to the Blessed Mother for her role in our own history.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.  Amen.
