On January 21, 2023, hundreds of thousands of people will be gathering in Washington D.C. to march to the Supreme Court and the United States Capital Building on behalf of unborn children and expectant mothers everywhere. This event, and pro-life events across the country, are a call to action against the unspeakable act of abortion in the United States. Even though Roe v. Wade was overturned on a federal level on June 24, 2022, the fight to build a culture of life is not over. The longstanding goal of the pro-life movement has not been just to outlaw abortion, but to make it unthinkable in our society. According to most recent statistics, there have been over 900,000 abortions carried out annually and that number is only expected to drop by about 200,000, as the issue is now being left up to individual states.
The March for Life is a demonstration that shows just how many people care for the dignity and sanctity of all life, including the unborn. Those who are unable to attend the March in person can still actively participate in the pro-life movement. On Friday, January 20th, Relevant Radio invites you to join the #FastForLife in solidarity with the March for Life. The idea behind #FastForLife is to purposefully engage in fasting and mortification so that we can unite our suffering with the unborn, pregnant mothers, and post-abortive women everywhere.
