Top Tips for a Stellar Confession 🌟

Confession Supplements & Prayers 📿

Recommended Apps: Use the Relevant Radio App for a treasure trove of prayers—before Mass, after Mass, Latin prayers, and especially a Confession Helper.

Steps to Confession: The app walks you through the sacrament step-by-step, perfect for both Catholics and curious non-Catholics.

Examining Your Conscience

Start with the Ten Commandments: Patrick breaks down common questions to ask yourself:

“Did I neglect my prayer life?”

“Did I receive Holy Communion without the necessary preparation?”

“Did I fail to observe the one-hour fast before Communion?”

“Did I hide any grave sins in past confessions?” (This invalidates your confession and adds a sin of sacrilege!)

Prayers to Boost Your Confession 🙏

Before Confession: “Come Holy Spirit, enlighten my mind that I may clearly know my sins…”

After Confession: “Almighty and merciful God, whose mercy is boundless and everlasting…”

Special Note on Scrupulosity 🧠

This can be a difficult cross where you see sin where there is no sin, or you might exaggerate the seriousness of your sins. God wants to help set you free from this!
