Patrick Madrid took a call from Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, who had a pretty jaw-dropping story to share from Birmingham, UK. Isabel, a pro-life advocate, was arrested twice for: wait for it… praying silently outside an abortion clinic. Yep, you read that right. Praying. Silently. 🫣 We’re so happy she was listening and decided to call in to share her experience.
The clinic wasn’t even open at the time, and she was just standing a few meters away, praying in her head. The only reason anyone knew she was praying was because she told them. Somehow, that was enough for the police to slap the cuffs on her. 😳
Isabel’s been at the center of the controversy over the UK’s buffer zones, which are areas around abortion clinics where pro-life activities (including prayer!) are restricted. The situation’s still messed up over there. Another pro-lifer, her buddy Adam, was actually fined for his silent prayers!
Patrick, of course, reassured Isabel that American pro-lifers have her back and were shocked by how far this has gone. It’s a crazy world when praying, even in silence, is considered a crime. Isabel pointed out that things have only gotten worse since Keir Starmer’s government took over, but honestly, the problem started earlier, during the Conservative government. Now, even churches are getting heat, with locals complaining that they shouldn’t be near abortion centers either. 🙄
Isabel isn’t backing down! She and her fellow pro-lifers are standing strong, even if it means being arrested for silent prayers. Talk about a brave witness.
Isabel’s courage is inspiring, and it’s a powerful reminder that we need to stand up for our brothers and sisters facing this kind of madness. Keep those prayers going: loud or silent! 🙏
