March for Life and OneLife LA: Pro-life from Coast to Coast

January 22nd marks the 45th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in America. To mark this anniversary, pro-life Americans from across the country will gather this weekend in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles to celebrate the sanctity of life at all stages and call for an end to abortion.

On Friday, January 19th, hundreds of thousands of people will come together in Washington D.C. for the March for Life. This is the country’s largest pro-life event, and this year’s theme is ‘Love Saves Lives.’ Relevant Radio® will interview pro-life leaders at the March on Friday and provide live news updates throughout the day.

Jeanne Mancini, president of the March for Life, said of the March, “We are the largest human rights demonstration that happens annually, and we’re 45 years strong. It’s astounding when you consider that we’ve lost over 60 million Americans to abortion. This is the most significant human rights abuse today.”

But the March for Life is not the gathering of an angry mob, in fact it is far from it. “It’s pro-science, it’s pro-love, it’s extremely positive, and it’s mostly young people,” Mancini said.

The March for Life is not the only pro-life event taking place this weekend. On Saturday, thousands will gather in Los Angeles for OneLife LA – a walk and community event that celebrates the beauty and dignity of all human life from conception to natural death.

OneLife LA was founded by Archbishop Jose Gomez, and the goal was to create a new kind of pro-life event. In his column in Angelus News, Archbishop Gomez said, “We wanted OneLife LA to be something different. We wanted this to be a day when we remind people why life is sacred and precious. We wanted to celebrate the dignity and beauty, even the glory of human life as created by God and made new and greater in Jesus Christ.”

Relevant Radio is a sponsor of OneLife LA, and will broadcast the event live from 1:30-4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Be sure to tune-in to this inspiring pro-life event!
