Pro-lifers will Walk for Life in San Francisco this weekend

Following peaceful pro-life demonstrations in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles, the 14th annual Walk for Life West Coast will take place in San Francisco on Saturday, January 27, with the mission to “change the perceptions of a society that thinks abortion is the answer” and to “establish a new West Coast tradition of celebrating life.”

This event began in 2005, explained organizer Eva Muntean on A Closer LookTM. “We had been to the March for Life and were so moved by the numbers and camaraderie and the joy, that we decided there were so many people from the west coast who can’t really make it out all the way to the east coast every year so why not have a sister event? While they focus on the political aspects of the pro-life movement, we decided to focus on the affects of abortion on women.”

‘Abortion hurts women’ is the theme of the Walk for Life West Coast. “We focus on raising awareness about the help that there is out there for women in crisis pregnancies and for those who have already had an abortion and are suffering,” says Muntean.
