Calling Congress to Defend the Dreamers

“When we stand up for those on the margins of society, as the Dreamers are, that’s where we find Christ. That’s where we serve our brothers and sisters. It’s not an act of politics, it’s an act of morality.” – Fr. Timothy Graff

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) are calling on the faithful to participate in a National Call-in Day for the Protection of Dreamers on Monday, February 26.

Dreamers are those protected by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy, allowing people who were brought to the United States illegally as children the opportunity to apply for temporary rights to live and work or study in America. The White House has asked Congress to pass legislation to protect the Dreamers before the expiration of DACA on March 5th.

Fr. Timothy Graff, Director of the New Energies Office and Government Relations Committee for the Archdiocese of Newark, stopped by Morning Air® today to discuss Dreamers and the National Call-in Day to help keep them in America.

Call 855-589-5698 to contact your Members of Congress today.
