In an address celebrating the 25th anniversary of an Italian family association, Pope Francis spoke on marriage, family, and also denounced abortion as an atrocity. He said that killing children because of disabilities hearkens back to the eugenicist practices of the Nazis.

“Last century, the whole world was scandalized by what the Nazis did to purify the race. Today, we do the same thing but with white gloves,” he said.
