VIDEO: Pope Francis Praised for His Leadership in Christian Unity

As part of his papal visit to Switzerland, Pope Francis helped mark the 70th anniversary of the World Council of Churches (WCC) by visiting the WCC headquarters in Geneva. The WCC is a worldwide ecumenical organization that works for Christian unity, a common witness, and Christian service.

Ecumenism is gaining in the world today, thanks in large part to the efforts of Pope Francis, and the Holy Father was praised for his leadership in promoting Christian unity and a positive Christian witness.  One presenter told the pope during an address,”Your leadership is a strong sign of how we can find these expressions of unity … walking, praying, and working together.”
