In a world with a non-stop news cycle, it seems that each week there is a new source of public outrage. A contentious issue arises, people take sides, argue with each other, and then move on to the next scandal du jour. And while anger can actually be a good response when faced with injustice, being in a constant state of outrage is not great for your spiritual health.
That’s why, at Relevant Radio®, our hosts address the issues of the day while always keeping their eyes on eternity. It’s part of our mission to bridge the gap between faith and everyday life, and it’s always great to hear how this approach is affecting the lives of our listeners.
She said, “Thank you for being on the air, Patrick. I love your show. I actually had spoken to you a few months back and called in with a question about praying the Rosary. We had a lovely talk. And I can’t even tell you … the most amazing things have been happening in our life since Relevant Radio, because of everything we learn on this station. My husband listens to it now, and he is coming into the Church. It’s just absolutely amazing, so thank you so much.”
Leslie explained how she found Relevant Radio to be an oasis during a particularly tense time in her life, and how Relevant Radio’s approach of keeping Christ at the center of all changed her perspective on what is going on in the world.
She told Patrick that what helped her was, “Your help and your cool, calm head. During the election time of 2016 is actually when I discovered Relevant Radio. I will never forget it, and I am so grateful because I went from being angry and frustrated every single day to being so happy and joyful and grateful. And truly, honestly, Relevant Radio is what helped me be able to get to that place. I am eternally grateful for the Holy Spirit coming through you guys.”
