Since Monday, December 2, Relevant Radio® and CatholicMatch have been making wishes come true through our Christmas Wish Contest. Each day, a winner has been selected and their generous wishes have been fulfilled. But the fun is far from over!
If you had $500 this Christmas, what would you do? Would you help a neighbor in need? Buy a special gift for your kids? Support a charity close to your heart? Here’s what this week’s winners wished for:
Monday, December 9
Anne from Ohio won $500 to support a Cincinnati food pantry that serves up to 500 families each month. Anne volunteers with the food pantry and said, “It would bring me much joy to have my Christmas wish come true!”
Tuesday, December 10
Raquel in Texas’ wish was to donate to her parish’s CCE program, particularly to help with repairs to the CCE building. The CCE program is the parish’s second-largest ministry, and Raquel explained, “Our church struggles and this would be a great help.”
Wednesday, December 11
Greg was Wednesday’s winner, and he plans to give his $500 prize to his sister’s family. They have two little girls and have been struggling to make ends meet. Greg said, “They are being such troopers through it all and keeping their faith in God and it would just be really wonderful to help them out and provide them with a small financial relief this Christmas.”
Thursday, December 12
Mario’s Christmas wish was simply to get caught up on his payments, and he now has $500 to make that wish a reality!
Friday, December 13
Cindy plans to give her $500 prize to a family with three children, and one on the way. She explained, “My family has adopted this family through the adopt-a-family program with Catholic Charities . If I won this, I would also let them know about Relevant Radio and how they have been blessed by your generosity.”
