Marian Pentecost Novena: Pentecost Sunday

Today is the Feast of Pentecost and also the Feast of the Visitation of Mary, when Our Lady lent a hand to her cousin Elizabeth. We should also invite the Blessed Mother into our own life to lend a hand. And that’s exactly what we have been doing for the past 77 days during the live and interactive Family Rosary Across America® on Relevant Radio.

During this time we have raised up to God, through Our Lady, close to one thousand of your prayer intentions – some of them desperate, others dramatic, all of them personal, and all of them part of the human story that could affect any of us. It has been a marvelous moment to experience the reality of the Communion of Saints. Families praying with families for families. And there have been remarkable answers to prayers: miraculous cures and lost children who have been found.

You and I will never forget this pandemic. And hopefully you will have learned that Mary is at the Crossroads of History: yours, mine, ours.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.  Amen.
