Have you ever had one of those moments when everything changed? When something you heard, saw, or experienced shifted how you see the world, and changed the trajectory of your life? Well, a listener named Ally called in to The Patrick Madrid Show last week and shared how she had one of those moments while listening to Relevant Radio®.
She told Patrick, “I wanted to start off by saying, because of you and Relevant Radio, about two years ago I became pro-life. I was such a pro-choice person, and so you and Relevant Radio have changed my life completely. I was one of those feminists who said ‘Women can do anything and I can do anything with my body.’ And that completely changed.”
Patrick asked what triggered this change, and Ally explained, “My husband and I had a miscarriage, and that made us closer to God. And then we were blessed with my son. We started listening to Relevant Radio and it was during all the campaigns for presidency, and I was so pro-choice. He and I would just get at it when I said, ‘Well, this is my body, I could do anything I want with it.’ And I know he probably prayed long and hard for me, because he is such a devout Catholic, and I was more of a lukewarm Catholic.”
Despite the disagreements she had with her husband, Ally was not willing to accept the pro-life position. Until she started listening to Relevant Radio.
“He found the station, and I just listened to it,” she said. “And one day I was at work listening to it, and it just clicked. I texted him right away in all caps letters: I LOVE YOU. I AM PRO-LIFE. And when we got home he just hugged me and said, ‘Thank you so much.’ I just wanted to let you know that and say thank you. I’m thankful to you, and Relevant Radio, and to my husband for praying for me, because I’m sure he did.”
