100 Days: Sleeping Bags, Pots and Pans, Immeasurable Grace

We’ll broadcast the Holy Mass every day at noon CT until the churches reopen, said Rev. Francis Hoffman (Fr. Rocky), Executive Director/CEO at Relevant Radio®.

I’ll sleep here in my sleeping bag if I have to, he promised.

Thankfully, Fr. Rocky never had to camp out at the Relevant Radio network headquarters in order to live stream daily Mass to our millions of listeners and social media followers. But he absolutely kept his promise. Today, June 22, 2020, marks 100 days since we began our daily Mass broadcasts.

Shortly after that, we added in a live video broadcast of the Family Rosary Across America® each evening at 7pm CT, with moving and heartfelt prayer intentions from our listeners. Both broadcasts have been wildly popular, drawing tens of thousands of viewers and listeners each day.

The broadcasts have required a great deal of behind-the-scenes planning and production from our Digital Media, Programming, and Engineering departments, but the fruits have been immeasurable. Relevant Radio has received thousands of testimonials from listeners who have found peace and joy in joining the daily Mass and Rosary broadcasts during these difficult times.

Walter and Renee from North Dakota said: “Father Rocky, it is hard to express how much you and your Relevant Radio ministry, daily Mass, and Rosary has meant to our family. My six siblings from the East Coast to the Rockies have joined you in the Rosary. Our son and his wife live in an apartment and every night the neighbors start banging pots and pans. That has become their reminder to pray the Rosary with Fr. Rocky!”

In the future, as things start to open up, we’ll begin to welcome a few of our regular priest celebrants back into the mix.

“I encourage you, if you can, to get to your parish for Mass on the weekends or even daily to receive Holy Communion, receive the sacrament of Confession. I know many of you are unable to for a variety of reasons, so we will continue to bring you this Mass every day at noon, Monday through Sunday. I won’t always be able to be here, but we’ll have the Mass for you and we’ll continue to bring you the Family Rosary Across America each evening at 7pm,” said Fr. Rocky.
