It’s the final day of our Relevant Radio Reach Out and Respond Summer Pledge Drive. Each pledge drive, it seems that we can’t be any more amazed at the stories our listeners share and the generosity shown. But every time, you prove us wrong.
Our associates especially enjoy hearing your stories when you call in to make a pledge. Perhaps some of our favorite listener stories are about you finding inspiration to spread joy and faith to others. It’s at the heart of our mission—bringing Christ to the world through the media—for you to join us in this call to spread Good News and hope with your communities.
Here are a couple of our favorites:
Tom from the Bronx called to make his gift. He was driving with his window rolled down listening to Fr. Rocky celebrating the Mass. Another car followed next to him for several blocks. Finally the other driver blew his horn to get Tom’s attention and asked what Tom was listening to – was it a CD or something on the radio? Tom said to tune into 1160 AM and the guy tuned in right away. Tom was excited to share the faith and said, “Relevant Radio – go change the world!”
Norma works at a crisis pregnancy center because of what she heard on Relevant Radio. Today she met with a girl that decided to keep her baby after a huge change of heart and transformation. She was certain she was going to have an abortion and now after deciding to keep the baby she is having a little girl in just a few weeks. Norma said, “All praise and thanksgiving is due to prayer and Relevant Radio!”
Of course, stories of those who experienced profound conversions after listening to Relevant Radio are the most humbling testimonies to read. All the credit goes to Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother for their hand in guiding us as we help to guide souls back to God. Take a moment to read this story of an unlikely convert:
James found Relevant Radio while he was serving time. He converted while in prison because of Relevant Radio. James is now out of prison and in a relationship with a wonderful Catholic woman he found on Catholic Match (Thanks to Relevant Radio). He asks for prayers for strength to be strong in his faith and for a chaste relationship resulting in a sacramental marriage.
Amazing! These three stories are just a drop in the ocean of the many people whose lives have been changed through your generous support of Relevant Radio. Marriages are saved, people are healed, and souls are brought back to Christ.
