Bringing Light to Your Life as the Days Get Darker

With winter approaching, the days are getting shorter. And with Daylight Savings Time ending this past weekend, in many parts of the country it is already dark before dinnertime. The lack of sunlight can get you down, so it’s important to find things in your life that bring light, despite the darkness of winter.

One way to brighten your day is to take after a listener named Tim, who called-in to Morning Air® to share his story of finding light when the dark days were getting him down.

Tim told host John Harper, “It was around Christmas-time a couple of years ago, as I recall. And I was feeling really low. You know, it was dark in the morning when I left for work, it was dark when I got home, and I was just feeling kind of low. ”

“So I turned on my standard, pre-set rock stations on the radio and it just wasn’t satisfying, I hit another one, it wasn’t satisfying, and I hit the scan button. Nothing happened. I was so desperate I went to the AM side and again hit my pre-set for my sports stations, my news stations, but nothing was satisfying. I hit the scan button and I came across Relevant Radio®.”

Tim found that what he heard on Relevant Radio was not only satisfying, but life-changing. He explained, “That lead to the Rosary every day, it deepened my faith, and I now have a son in the seminary. It is incredible. I have four boys and a girl and they are all just very faithful, godly. It’s just amazing, and it’s all because of Relevant Radio.”

“That one morning I was feeling down, and it was God touching me. It was absolutely amazing, and the fruits of it, years later, here we are. Relevant Radio is the first button I hit when I get in my car, and I just love it, love it, love it.”

Tim found that Relevant Radio brought him light in the darkness, but he didn’t stop with just listening. Tim became a supporter of Relevant Radio and shared how that, too, brought satisfaction to his life.

“The feeling I get when I give is amazing,” he said. “It’s like you are a part of the family. You’re in, you feel like you’re connected, and it’s a great feeling. I love donating to Relevant Radio and I never miss a pledge. It’s astounding, I can’t say enough.”
