Today we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. The Blessed Mother appeared to St. Catherine Laboure and commissioned the making of the miraculous medal on this very day in the year 1830. Within four years, 10,000,000 medals had been made to meet the demand.
