Today we celebrate the feast of St. Andrew the Apostle. It is commonly thought that it was he who introduced his older brother Peter to Jesus. In the Gospels, he seems to be overshadowed by Peter. As Andrew understood what is was like to be looked over, he was able to be the one to lead the gentiles to Jesus.
