Thousands of Catholics Worldwide Join Relevant Radio to Fast for Life

On Friday, January 29, 2021, over 10,000 people from all fifty states and across the globe will join Relevant Radio to Fast for Life. The #FastforLife movement has reached from Uruguay to India, Canada to South Africa, and everywhere in between.

New to #FastforLife? Here’s the idea: on the same day as the March for Life in Washington DC (though the event will take place virtually this year), we have pledged to pray and fast in solidarity with the pro-life movement.

It’s a way to march for life without actually getting on a plane and marching. You can participate from wherever you are on that day, and our combined prayer and sacrifices are POWERFUL! If you’d like to join us, sign up here:

JOIN FAST FOR LIFE

So far, we have listeners joining us from the United States, Nigeria, Australia, the Philippines, Canada, Finland, India, Uruguay, England, Dominican Republic, Trinidad, Ireland, Kazakhstan, and South Africa! In fact, our friends in Australia and the Philippines have already begun!

When you sign up to join us, you can share with us how you will observe the day of fasting. Some people like to observe the traditional fast, while others get a little creative. Here are just a few of the ways people will be fasting on January 29:

Bensen from Mumbai, India – “I will be fasting and will also avoid Internet usage and spend extra time in prayer.”

“No meat, no chocolate!” says Kevin from London, England.

mom and newborn babyMaria says “I will be participating from here in Almaty, Kazakhstan.  I will be fasting and praying the Holy Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Memorare.  I won’t be watching TV but will spend the TV  time reading the Scriptures. Thank you and God bless us all.”

“The Planned Parenthood abortion center closed in Northwest Arkansas (Praise God!), so a few of my friends and I will be driving to nearby Tulsa, OK to pray at the abortion center there.  We will also be fasting for the day,” says Sheila from Arkansas.

James from Illinois says, “We will be eating lighter meals without meat and no snacking between meals.  We also will be dedicating a Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy.”

Delia from the Philippines says, “Since I am in another country, and a senior citizen I will be praying and fasting with you and for you from my home. I will also invite friends and family to join, FAST FOR LIFE on January 29, 2021. Providentially it is on the eve of my 79th birthday!!! I feel blessed to be a part of this movement.”

“I will not only give up meat as it’s Friday, I will give up a meal, add going to Mass (if healthy) and sit with our Lord for an hour at church…” says Theresa in Iowa.

Nanette from New Mexico says, “I will pray and fast from social media that day.”

#FastforLife begins tomorrow, and we invite you to join us and share with your family and friends so they can participate, too!
