Today, the Church celebrates the feast of St. Toribio of Mogrovejo. He was born in the 1500’s and was appointed by the pope to be the Archbishop of far away Lima, Peru even though he had no desire to go there and wasn’t even ordained. He saw God’s will in the pope’s decision, was soon ordained, and set sail for South America.
