“Anything is Possible with God”

Today is December 8th, the day we celebrate the Immaculate Conception. On this special solemnity, our own Timmerie Geagea, host of Trending with Timmerie felt inspired to share a miraculous story from her own personal experience:

A few years ago, I was invited to be prayed over by a bishop.  At the time I knew that conceiving children would be difficult for me, but I had been at peace about the future of children in my life.  On the feast of the Immaculate Conception, the bishop held the crucifix over my body praying prayers of deliverance and as the topic of having children came up, I saw a silhouette of Mary and she said, “I am the Immaculate Conception”.  Our Virgin Mother Mary is a reminder for us that all things are possible with God; the miraculous, the unthinkable, the “impossible”, the divine.  Our human nature is transformed by the grace of God just as Our Lady was preserved from all sin.  Pray for her intercession.  Lift her up as a model for the power of Christ in your life.
.
I didn’t take this as a sign I would have a child but instead that if I did or did not, God could and would work miracles in my life.
.
As for having a baby one day: A year later, God surprised me with the unsolicited gift of the sacrament of anointing of the sick and within a few weeks, we conceived our baby girl.  Anything is possible with God, but we have to be open to His will rather than our own.
