Year in Review: 2022

We give thanks to God for all of His goodness in 2022, especially for a successful transition of our entire network to our new headquarters in Lincolnshire, Illinois. We have already begun to see the fruits of this move, as have our listeners in 199 countries worldwide. This incredible year broke records and made history – all thanks to your magnanimity and your prayers!

We kicked off 2022 with Miracles, Mysteries, & Mary, a monthly email collection of Marian devotions, saints, apparitions and artwork. Over 65,000 of you joined our year-long celebration!

We became even more acquainted with the Rosary this year through the Family Rosary Across America, which traveled from Illinois to Florida to Indiana and gathered over 10,000 in prayer on October 13th (and over 125,000 on Ash Wednesday). We celebrated our 1,000th episode together with the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, our patronal feast day.

Thanks to your enthusiastic generosity, over $12 million was raised through our four Pledge Drives to help cover operating expenses. Morning Air, The Patrick Madrid Show, The Faith Explained, The Drew Mariani Show, The Cale Clarke Show, and Trending with Timmerie achieved record-breaking hours! Your pledges help us cover big news in a timely, balanced, and Catholic lens – and this was certainly the year for it.

You tuned in with our largest audience to date for live coverage of Pope Francis’ Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on March 25th. We continue to pray for peace in our world and all its nations.

The Walk to Mary had record participation from over 40 states, and we’re gearing up for the celebration of the tenth annual Walk next year. We hope you’ll join us for a special two-day event on May 6th, 2023!

May is the month of Mary, and you loved learning something new and surprising about Mary in “The Memorare Moment”. Over 50,000 of you were curious about this timeless prayer to Mary – and over 70,000 of you Curious Catholics received Patrick Madrid’s free book, “InQUIZition”. We hope you enjoyed learning all about your faith!

On June 24th, our Memorare Meter and 450-Day Rosary Novena’s prayers were heard as the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Our team delivered the historic news live as it happened and responded with experts and guests that continue to keep listeners up-to-date on this monumental decision. Our prayers and action continue to save lives!

For the first time ever in Relevant Radio history, we had all of our associates together in our headquarters in September. Patrick Madrid inaugurated our in-house broadcasts on September 8th from the Saint John Paul II, Defender of Life Studio.

700 of our wonderful listeners gathered in the Twin Cities for the annual Christ Brings Hope Banquet. They raised $700,000, which was split between Relevant Radio and tuition aid for forty-three local Catholic schools. The night simply couldn’t have gone better!

2022 was also a very big year for The Merry Beggars, the entertainment division of Relevant Radio. They launched a 21-part original audio mystery, “On the Night Train. We eagerly anticipate the conclusion of the mystery in 2023, and you can rest assured that there’s plenty more wholesome family content in store – so stay tuned!

To close out the year, the Merry Beggars brought us much joy with their Advent special Christmas, Live!” which offered listeners choir music, sing-along songs and plenty of laughs for kids of all ages. Their dramatic audio production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” has become a tradition for our Advent season, and this year you helped it reach #3 on Apple Podcasts!

With stations in six new markets and six new network underwriters in 2022, we’re going to be able to reach more souls than ever before in 2023 – and it’s all by the grace of God and your endless support. Thank you for making this year a great one for the Relevant Radio family.

We pray for you to have a happy, healthy, and holy New Year!
