St. Philip Howard Episode 1 (The Saints: Adventures in Faith and Courage)

England, 1571. Queen Elizabeth the first reigns with an iron fist. Elizabeth bans Catholicism and makes her new Church of England the required national religion. Despite her decree, devout Catholics practice their faith in secret, aware that they may be imprisoned or even sentenced to death for even attending Mass. One teenager, born into England’s most wealthy and powerful family, seeks status and power inside Queen Elizabeth’s court – unaware that what he witnesses there will change his life forever. This is the story of St. Philip Howard.
