Drew Mariani and Msgr. Charles Pope just took a mind-blowing journey into the mystery of time on the Drew Mariani Show. This conversation was like a mashup of theology, philosophy, and quantum physics, but in a way that actually makes sense! 🕰️✨

🕰️ So… What Is Time, Anyway?
Msgr. Pope kicked things off by admitting: yeah, time is weird. We all feel it but try explaining it and your brain short-circuits.
Time gives life structure: past, present, future… but what is it?
It’s more than just ticking clocks. Even science says time is stretchy and weird (more on that later).
📉 Why Does Time Feel Faster When You’re Older?
Remember when Christmas took forever as a kid? Now it feels like you blink and BAM: it’s Christmas again. 🎄 Msgr. Pope broke down some theories:
Proportional Time Theory: When you’re 5, a year is 20% of your life. When you’re 50? Only 2%. So, it feels faster because it’s a smaller chunk of your life.
Cognitive Load: Nick reminded us that kids are absorbing everything, while adults are more on autopilot, so time feels faster when you’re older.
Life on “Autoplay”: Ever get so busy the whole week just vanishes? Yeah, same.
📡 Time Isn’t Constant?! (Science Says So!)
Turns out, even Einstein was in on this.
Time slows down when you go fast (like close to the speed of light 🚀).
Gravity affects time too! Time would pass slower on Jupiter because it’s bigger than Earth.
Actual experiments with atomic clocks on fast planes proved this. (So… time travel confirmed? 😅)
📖 Theological Time Bomb 💥
Msgr. Pope shared some wisdom from Scripture:
Ecclesiastes 3: “For everything there is a season…” ⏳
2 Peter 3:8: “With the Lord, one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like a day.”
Time is a creation of God: a way for us to experience life sequentially, but God? He’s outside of it all.
⏳ 3 Types of Time (Greek Style)
The Greeks were all about breaking down time into different kinds:
Chronos: Clock time. Hours, minutes, the usual.
Kairos: The right or fitting time (like when you’re ready for something spiritually).
Aeon: Eternity: where past, present, and future are all now. (This is where God exists!)
Imagine a clock face. Out on the edge, the hands tick in Chronos time: past, present, future. But at the center dot? All times converge: eternity. That’s where God is. He sees everything at once.
So… Are We Fated or Free?
If God sees everything already… are we just acting out a script?
NOPE. God doesn’t “cause” your choices; He just knows them eternally.
Think of it like this: You’re free to make your decisions, but God, outside of time, already sees how they play out.
🎯 Takeaway? Time’s a Gift. Use It Well.
We can’t control time, but we can control how we use it.
Time is sacred. Every moment matters in the story God is writing with your life.
Make the most of it. Pray more. Love more. Be present.
