Fr. Ramil Fajardo joins Patrick to discuss Annulments

  • What does indissolubility of marriage?
  • (11:15) What does freedom and living faithfully have to do with Marriage?
  • What are Declarations of Nullity?
  • (16:46) Debbie – If you’re not married in the church or any church and just justice of peace, do you still need an annulment? I have a friend whose marriage was nullified. Is it just a government marriage?

(22:28) Break 1

  • Elizabeth – After 37 years of marriage, I’ve filed for a declaration of nullity. If I don’t receive it, what would my ongoing responsibility to him be? For rich or for poor? Do I need to give him money?
  • (29:37) Email from Kent – Can I reach out to my diocese to get an update on my case?
  • The healing process of annulments.
  • Rose – If someone was unbaptized at the time of marriage and that ended in divorce and later they were baptized and become married, what effect does it have on the marriage?

(38:41) Break 2

  • Email about the validity of the marriage that was really bad.
  • Mary – Can annulments be appealed if not given?
  • (43:48) Diane – I was married twice. Had an annulment. Now I got divorced again. I haven’t filed an annulment. He has remarried and is not Catholic any more. When I married him, he had a habit of watching porn. I didn’t find out until after we were married. Is that a reason to nullify the marriage?
  • Annie – Prenuptial agreements…is that grounds for nullity?
