God Has Given You His Heart (Father Simon Says)

Okay, so Fr. Simon may joke that he’s recycling his old sermons, but these are gold 💯. This reflection is personal, beautiful, and gets you right in the heart. 😭❤️‍🔥

Fr. Simon reflects on Romans 5:5, where it says: “While we were still helpless, Christ died for the ungodly.” Now, when we hear “ungodly,” we think, “Yikes, messy people.” But Fr. Simon points out it actually means “impious”: those who don’t worship. And then he hits us with this hilarious but touching story about a young girl handing a firecracker to a college guy she had a crush on, like it was a rose of devotion 🌹… and boom 💥!

That, he says, is worship: not servile fear or groveling, but falling in love. God doesn’t need our worship like an insecure celebrity needing applause. He wants us to love Him because He already loves us.

❤️‍🔥God Sent His Heart… Literally

Fr. Simon asks a great question: “Why did the Father send the Son? Was He busy that day?”

No. The Father sent His Heart. What are our children if not our heart outside our body? So, when God gave us Jesus, He gave us His most precious treasure. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is the heart of the Father. 💗

Let that sink in: God gave us His actual heart.

Eucharistic Miracles

He then shares this story about the Eucharistic miracle of Buenos Aires (Pope Francis was actually involved before he became Pope). Long story short:

-A host was found discarded in the back of a church.

-It was placed in water to dissolve respectfully.

-Instead of dissolving, it turned into bloody tissue.

-Tests confirmed it was heart tissue from someone who suffered deeply… and was still alive when the sample was taken. 💔

Every tested Eucharistic miracle so far: It’s always heart tissue. ❤️‍🔥

You Receive God’s Heart at Mass

Fr. Simon explains that when you receive the Eucharist, you’re not just receiving “a piece of Jesus” in some vague spiritual way. You’re literally receiving: the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

That’s real presence, real love, real responsibility.

You are being asked to care for Christ like Mary and Joseph did, to carry Him inside you into the world.

😢So Many Don’t Know

He ends with sorrow for those who don’t know what they’re missing. We’ve been given the Sacred Heart…in the Eucharist at every Mass.

-God doesn’t want your worship for His ego; He’s already madly in love with you.

-Jesus is the Heart of the Father.

-In every Eucharist, God places His actual Sacred Heart into your hands.

-You are a living tabernacle; carry Christ like Mary did.

🙏❤️‍🔥 Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like unto Thine.
